Dancing Sharp-Tailed Grouse in Northern Minnesota

I just returned from Lake of the Woods. Last Friday I had a chance to sit in this blind. The sharpies do an amazing dance. I love when all the males start and stop at the same instant. When they stop they hold their pose until magically they all start stomping and twirling in sync. Like a bunch of wind up toys.

Here are a couple pictures from the blind. The distance and spotty high grass made photography a little challenging.
