I have a 50 horsepower yamaha 2 cycle that is leaking oil out to through the prop. I bought the replacement gasket I was wondering how to replace them. . does anyone have any experience with this repair I don't know if I have to take the lower unit off i hope not.

You can replace propshaft seals without removing the entire lower unit. You will need to remove the prop and the bearing carrier. If you were to do a complete reseal, then Yes you need to remove the entire gearcase, (lower unit).
