The dock is IN
The Minnesota Muske Expo tackle swap is Saturday April 14th from 7 to ? PM at the Shamrock Room of O'Gara's, corner of Selby and Snelling (six blocks west of the Expo). Free parking in the Bank lot north of O'Gara's. Don't pay the lot guard-he is just there to make you feel secure.O'Gara's is a popular hangout for the local college crowd. It is also a hangout during the Minnesota Muskie Expo, with about 200 people there last year. Even Larry Dahlberg was seen at the swap. O'Gara's has a nice menu and a full bar.Lure swap is free, as always. If you stay for the music , there will be no cover this year. That is because O'Gara's has switched to a new DJ format. Busloads of college kids come to the big "Shanty" (formery O'Gara's Garage). Greg Ide(google "grateful dead tribute band" 1,130,000 hits: google "beatles tribute band" 202,000 hits. The dock is IN
Thanks to everyone who bought/sold/swapped, partied, and stuck around for the iphilers that showed up and overfilled the Shanty. Some pretty neat collectors items like a Wick Creeper. Original LeLures etc. But the better looking stuff arrived later, wearing some pretty tight clothing. And, I hope many of you got the some of the hundreds of "Jameson and Ginger" drinks provided free of charge. Leaving a tackle swap early has its drawbacks.Greg Ide("iphilers" was the name used on the "Parts Pups" calendars in the 1960s)
