Matt Johnson
Coon Lake and Linwood Lake are both good for smaller pike action. Ham Lake is good as well. Giant_Jackpot
Medicne is all you need if you want pike. I have caught several 38s and I know of larger ones caught. It's hard to go out there and not catch 'em!
Matt Johnson
I agree with Giant_Jackpot, Medicine Lake is a good choice and its not too far from where you are at. Just south a little ways. TomWehler
HiThere are times when the NOW innner city lakes of Owasso, WBL, Forest, even Gervis will be action filled.Grew up fishing these lakes. Now even though the pressure is like a hundred times more these days, you can still find amazing numbers of quality 3 LB to 5 LB pike and some even larger if you do some homework, work hard and have fun.Stop, think, adjust and you will really see what I mean. You will be surprised at what a simple Dressed Johnson Silver minnow or Daredevil will do.White Spinner baits a can be a killer slow rolled on deeper structure or rolled along the roots of weedbeds.Old Spinner, 3/8 oz Jig / Bettle Bug combo can also be simple deadly on these lakes.Follow some of what I see Matt J. mentioning to do all the time on Metor lakes.Learn to read the waters you fish, adjust to what the fish or weather is telling you.Fun, not to hard to do and pays of BIG TIME. Keep on Rock'en! Tom www.muskytomsguideservice.com

Lunker
As long as you get away from the true city lakes that are managed mainly for eyes and muskies you can get into a lot of pike action in the burbs. I fish mainly the south and west suburbs, and I know there are good pike all over the place. Its pretty easy to see how the populations and size are doing by the dnr reports. Guest
Lots of action on Minnetonka. Both in numbers and in size. You also get bonus bass and muskies!!!------------------Let 'em go so they can grow!!!

Lunker
Greeney, depends on what depths you are fishing. Most of my fishing has been in relatively shallow lakes so far this year like 10-15 ft, and I do well putting it about half way down.
basguy31
Medicine is a good choice for pike. We've done real well that first month or so after the opener throwing Thundersticks, Rogues and floating Rapalas in about 4 to 8 feet of water. Firetiger seemed to be one of the better colors. Most of the fish were from 26" to 32" with an occasional larger one.Good Luck[This message has been edited by basguy31 (edited 02-12-2004).]
