Hey Mr. Pike,
How has Vermilion been for you?

I remeber a posting on another forum about this, Here is what I remember:

girth x girth x length divided by 800 = weight.

or

length x length x length / 3500 = weight

Approx. 27.81 pounds, without the girth mwasurment. Nice fish!

There is a "new" formula that was developed by Larry Ramsell, this is the one he uses to try and authenticate weights from pictures.

Length x Girth divide by 25 and minus 10 = Weight

Larry feels this is the best formula right now. This one comes the closest on those fish that have seen both a ruler and a "certified" scale.

Nice Fish! 46 x 20 = 26 pounds
46 x 21 = 28 pounds
46 x 22 = 30 pounds
