I got super lucky and actually have a day off when the weather gods are smiling down upon me. No, I'm not out fishing or hunting, but have my tomatillo and herb seeds planted in their little boxes and sitting in the sunshine. I visited my peach tree (encouraged it to grow well this year) and wandered through my garden spot, figuring out where I'm going to expand this year.

I raked up some twigs, cleaned up around the wood pile and stacked some small logs my husband cut up yesterday in preperation for a day of branch trimming tomorrow.

I know there are so many lovely spots in the world, but right now, puttering around in my backyard in southwest Minnesota is a down-right happy place for me.
