3 gallon metal sears fuel tank?

hi i got this laying around its from about the 70's i,m guessing is this a antique or no also should i use it i heard metal cans are bad thanks for any help

While it might be considered somewhat of a collectable, I dont know that I would go so far as to call it antique. I guess it depends on excactly how old it is. As far as using it, I guess it really depends on the cleanliness of it internally. If there is even the slightest amount of corrosion, rust and crud, I would suggest cleaning it at the very least. Also, depending on the whether or not the fuel line fitting on there is either one you can hook up to, or something that can be swapped out will determine if you can actually use it.
