bullhead master
I have a pontoon boat that I have to move its 20ft long I do not have a pontoon trailer and want to move it several times a year so a rental wouldn't work. Could i cheaply build a trailer or modify a regular boat trailer or could I build the trailer right on the boat itself? I would buy one but they are worth more than the boat ha? JohnMickish
How far do you plan on moving it? Are we talking across the road or a 500 mile trip?
bullhead master
About 10 miles.
vermilionfox
How wide is the pontoon? If it's 96" you may be able to modify a trailer if it's long enough. Maybe not so if it's 102".Check the list of craig for used trailers. They are usually not as cheap as other boat trailers though.
MinnesotaMike
Since you are only traveling 10 miles, you could easily build one for cheap. There is nothing to them. The one I have does not drop down and it works great.Good Luck, Mike
bASS_BLASTER
You could save yourself some money by taking it apart, then assemble it at destination...this could take days. I second on C list, seen a couple pontoon trailers and some you could modify.
Shawn Kellett
You can usually rent a scissor trailer for cheap. Much cheaper and easier then building your own. Heck, I'd rent you mine if you're close to the tonka area.
