If you're going to ride out west, be prepared. Have a probe, beacon, shovel, and I don't care what anyone says, have an avalanche pack. Just lost another Minnesotan, and he was with a guide. I've been to the hill that he was buried in every time that I've been to Togwotee.

There's articles out there, just Google "Minnesota man killed in avalanche".

He was buried for 20 minutes, they did CPR for 2 hours.

Just be safe. Beacons, probes, and shovels aren't just for you. Show your riding buddies some respect. It's for them too.
