Putting in a new garage opening.

I plan to put a garage door in this summer on the back wall (non gable end) of my garage and plan to hire out the rough in. Any ideas what I am looking at for cost for the rough in only? The siding is a non issue as we are going to re-side the house after the garage is done.

Around this area I would say probably 1500 or less... I would think a day project for 2 guys tops (i usually have to do a 250-300 min per guy for most jobs, unless I can squeeze a couple into a day...) plus the materials... and any permitting needed. Your concrete/block situation is the only thing I see adding some cost/issues... so may need a masons opinion on that... and of course, this is a SWAG because I have not seen it... 2c
