Guest
alright, i know bucktails and spinnerbaits are effective early in the season but what are some other baits that have worked for you guys around the opener?
Long Gray Line
Unless the water temp warms up alot, I've always done better going slower and smaller. Smaller but big bladed bucktails and husky jerks have done well. Plastics you can wiggle right in front of their noses have been good for me. I've even jigged them with a LARGE twister tail on the points leading out to the main lake this time of year.
NoodleSalad
Many people use micro's with good success. This never really caught on for me. I would rather hit my confidence spots with big-slow moving lures. My buddy switched when I was raising a few Hog's. He ended up boating a nice one. -NS-
