Dutch Oven Cooking

Was thinking about getting a Dutch Oven for camping this summer. I was looking on line and did not realize they came in different sizes. What size do most of you use?

how many people do you normally cook for? a buddy of mine has an 8qt.. it's enough to feed a whole camp of starving hippies at festivals

It does depend on how many you are cooking for. Most people have a 12" dutch oven. That will feed around 6 people. If it is just a few people, a 10" will do. I have both, and more than 1 of each size. I usually cook a main course in 1 and a dessert in another. Great sites online like camp-cook.com that have tons of info and recipes. Most recipes are geared for the 12" size, but can be adapted. I use mine every weekend.
