After reading some reviews of guys loosing their auger end at the bottom of the lake I was skeptical but figured it was protocal to check and tighten the coupler every time you drill to prevent this. So I finally decided to add one to my SM Solo lazer pro 8". Got tired of unscrewing the bolt.

Works great and definitely makes it simple. Only problem is im more of a run and gun person and this adds some weight. No ounces but feels like several pounds.

One nice thing though is the added weight allows the solo to drill down quicker with or without minimal pressure.

But im reluctant to say I will be taking it off unless on long trips needing space cause of the weight issue.

After some considerable use with the kwik koupler I cant say I can recommend it. Its biggest down fall is weight. Feels like it adds 5lbs and my Strikemaster Solo Lazer pro feels more like Jiffy tank. LOL...

The product does what it says, makes it easier to disengage for easy transport. But the added weight was not welcome in my book. Sad to say the Kwik Koupler is now collecting dust in my garage storage bin as of this past Saturday. But if you have no problems with additional weight and not a run and gun type of guy then it may have a use for you.
