what to buy

hey everyone last summer I started fishing for muskie and would like to target them more this summer.I have a few lures already but would like some feedback from some of you before i start spending $20.00 a piece for a lure. just wondering what lures some of you like or dislike.thanks jaysupnorth

depends on where yo are fishing. some of the lakes i fish, some lures work beeter then others and some do not work at all and its the same with colors as well.
basic list to start with for me would be:
blk/slv, blk/orn, blk/char, wht/slv, orn/cop, firetiger bucktails
as for jerkbaits and crankbait colors, use what forage the lake has to offer.
you can spend a ton of money on baits and only use a third of them when you fish. most lures you can get for around 12 to 13 bucks so no need to spend 20. good luck and happy hunting

J I would recomend 1 quality jerk (phantom). 1 walk the dog topwater. Add a few different bucks/spinner baits and a 20' crank. Thats all you need. Confidence in a couple lures and thats all your gonna throw. G-Money

Go to a Swapp Meet if you can. Good way to pick up used baits cheep. Can't go wrong with black bucktail with org. blaids.
