Pick yourself up a Twin Cities Fishing Guuide by Sybil Smith. They can be ordered off of this site. Or they're also available at most of the larger tackle shops around the Twin Cities. The number of pike and musky lakes within 30 minutes of St. Paul is too many to mention. There's lots of them.

Yep. That book is helpful-- it stays in my truck at all times. Also the DNR has helpful information on their site concerning angler creel and net surveys; as well as stocking information; they cover most of the ponds and lakes in the metro. Just about any given pond or lake in the Metro has some pike in it.. heck; last year someone caught a 11 lber during a local city contest out of a small stocked pond a half a mile from my house. Don't overlook smaller lakes and ponds; they often recieve less pressure for Notherns (more for Bass and panfish) And are less water to cover.
