Hunting with Artificial lights

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I was curious. Since we changed the law to allow hunting with artificial lights, how many of you have done it? I'd be interested in hearing how often you've done it, what your success is like, any problems you've had with it and anything else you can offer.

I'm in need of the good, bad and ugly. Please share if you have any experience in Minnesota.

Thanks

Randy

Randy, it works well for picking out eyes, but being that it is only legal with a shotgun, it is hard to get close enough shots on fox and yotes. I have better luck moonlighting without lights, but I'm going to try and get more into hunting like GrayFox in Wisconsin with lights. Check out some of his posts. I have an xlr-250 red light, and it's quite nice.

Good luck
