Christmas Eve Brisket

Just wanted to say my 1st smoked brisket turned out fantastic thanks to all the great information on this site. I tried to buy a pre-cooked/sliced brisket at Costco to save some work and time, but they didn't have any, so I took a chance and brought a fresh 8 lb brisket. I smoked it at 225 for 8 hours, then put it in the oven for 4 hours at 300 degrees. It turned out perfect and was a big hit Christmas Eve. My brother-in-law who has judged some brisket contests raved about it. Thanks again everyone! Jim
