Darters???

We did well on some walleyes last weekend on mille lacs with the lindy darters. Every strike came on a pause or a slow raise of the rod tip. A quick snap, pause, slow raise, pause. Drop, pause, repeat. Not saying its the only way, but worked for us. We also caught them with a bare hook, and with a minnow head on the front. Both worked.

Good luck.

Gotta experiment until you find out what's working. When I don't see fish, I'm more aggressive with my jigging to call them in. When they come in, I slow down to match their mood. I've caught fish on chubby darters from deadsticking it to big lifts and drops. The strikes usually comes on the pause. When they're just sniffing it, sometimes I'll quiver the lure. Maybe quiver with a slow lift.
