has anyone put snakeskin on a rod?

I saw a rod at a sportshow that had snakeskin wrapped around it at the foregrip and it looked sharp. Has anyone here tried this? Any tips or is there anything I should watch out for? Know where I can buy skins? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the help guys. I really like the looks of these and am searching for a colorful copperhead skin to try this with. My native friends in the Arctic will freak out when they see this!

I highly recommend southern copperheads (A. c. contortrix) for their pattern and color, as a reptile enthusiast they are the most colorful, with a perfect copperhead "hershey kisses along the sides" pattern.

However for something a little different, the broad-banded copperhead has a more (as per the name) banded pattern.

There are lots of stickers online too. You could just put a sticker on it if you wanted to try it out before going with real snake skin. Once epoxy is over you most likely wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
