Crappie Frenzy at long lake new brighton

The crappies at long lake new Brighton are being caught like crazy and 7:00 to about 11:00 and they are being caught on jumbo crappie minnows and small flu flu jigs and a small tube jig with a silver head. The crappies are being pulled out measuring at 10 inches and longer!
The walleyes have moved in also and pushed out the pike just a bit so the northern pike fishing is in a slump right now but the walleyes fishing off the right side off the dock has been amazing! Just last week people at night were getting over 3 pound walleyes about every night fishing with a storm bait that is in shape of a minnow with a blue top and the belly of the bait is white. And the 3-inch to 4 inch has been the best bait to use there.

Sean are you going to be out there Sat morning? we might try and hit that lake but the way it ounds is it get busy fast? Do you know what time tha place usually fills up?

Hey Ymmit,

Come near the morning thats when its still open pretty much. It starts filling up around 11am-12pm when it fills up usally.
