Twin city Rock Bass?

Hi fellas,
Now, i know Rock Bass are not Sunnies or crappies, but they sure look like a panfish. 18 years ago i fished silver lake in virginia mn and caught lots of these fish, but today being a bit more serious about fishing i thought it be fun to fish these species again, but don't want to travel 3 1/2 hours to catch them. My twin cities fishing map book does'nt show any of these fish around here. I'm thinking they are only found in northern minnesota lakes. Any ideas? thanks

They abound in twin & sylvia over by annandale just south of highway 55.
