I must say I am rather impressed with this new line. In the past I was a die hard Fireline guy, but hated the characteristic of the line icing up. The line performed to the highest standard this weekend. Super strong, very sensitive, and best of all NO LINE FREEZING. Only down fall is that it tends to be a little hard to snip sense it is so smooth.

Line freeze problem is always with water droplets, not from absorbing water. Nylon lines will absorb water more than Fireline ever will. Yet Fireline is the line that has ice beads on it more.

The smaller diameter line used, the less line freeze problem will be. Just try some 2# Fireline and compare it to 4# Fireline. Very different size of ice beads forming. It's how the line can shed off water droplets before it freezes. It's the same with nylon or flourocarbon lines. That nanofill line is so thin, I would expect it to perform well for outdoor ice fishing.
