So, the first real snow is coming down in part of the state today. Here, just cloudy and gray, with some more NOV winds coming. Seems the real nice fall days are fading more and more quickly as the month moves along - getting me and a lot of other folks getting ready for the upcoming ice season!!

And I hope, with the predicited early winter estimates, we will have another banner ice season here on Chequamegon Bay and into the Apostle Islands. Looking right on par for the first part of December to be walking out on first ice again!! With what we are seeing, should be another great season for shallow waterTrout/Salmon - Perch - and Lake Trout ..

Until the ice forms, we will still be out in the boat, chasing a few fishes from time to time - but our heart and mind is set on that first drop down through the ICE!!
