New Eskimo Fatfish Pop-up Shacks

Just seeing for sale on various on-line stores that Eskimo came out with a new pop-up shack called the Fatfish. They look awesome! They have an extra wide bottom relative to the top, so there is much more fishing area. I am a big fan of of their old hubs, but was disappointed that they did not have a true insulated pop-up ... now they do the Fatfish 949i.

With this new design, they have seemed to have created some separation from the rest of the crowded pop-up shack market.

I assume they did some field testing of this new product last winter ... anyone get the privledge of doing so that could provide some reviews??

If the quality matches their old lineup, I'll be seling my Quickfish 3 and upgrading to a 949i. Here is a side by side pictures of the new (left) and old designs.

Nice I just bought a 6X6 popup from Glen's last year. I absolutely loved it. I definitely like the idea of the wide bottom on this Eskimo!

I'm with you, Tito. I'm selling my Glen's 3 man and buying the insultated 949i. I saw one up close and personal on Saturday and was sold right away. It's got 2 doors, plenty of room, removable windows and overhead netting for clothes storage, etc. (all of what I want).

Sounds awful similar to the Glen's then! Plus its insulated and has that sweet wide bottom! Ice did you happen to see a pricetag on them when you looked at them on Saturday?

I see them online at RedRock listed at $300, on sale for $280 with free shipping. But, the Eskimo rep said there will plenty of them on sale at the St. Paul ice show and I'll bet the price will be even lower then. (that's for the Fatfish insulated one.)
