Talking Shop

Does anyone here get together and talk shop about Rod Building or would anyone be interested in doing a get together to talk shop about previous builds or current builds or techniques. Its always nice to get other peoples perspectives on stuff and there's not a ton of stuff out there for rod builders. Most of what i know is trial and error not because i was able to bounce ideas off someone. Post your thoughts good or bad about the idea.

Custom Rod Builders Guild is having a get together in Park Falls, Wisconsin 18-20th. I wish I was going...maybe next year.

Rushing and I get together from time to time. I also do this with a few other rod building buddys.

This could be a winter get together, there is too much fishing to do during the summer for me.

I would be game.

I get together with a couple area guys to ask questions. ( I have been doing this not a full year yet) So i am always asking them things if I can not figure it out. There is always some thing new to do and learn. I will be in Park Falls with the Guild next week. I am sure I will learn a lot from those guys and gals.
