As for the knot I've been using a "J" Knot. I find it easier to tie in the field that b2b uni's. At first I was skeptical about it breaking, but after catching quite a few big fish over the last few years with it, including pike and cats, I'm pretty confident with it. Google it and you will see how to tie it. Anyone with feedback on this would be welcome.

I used the J knot up until last year. I now use the Modified Albright knot. I think it goes through the guides better, every bit as strong, and for me, easier to tie.
