These 16 to 20 inch channel cats were attacked, killed, and partially digested by 30+ pound flathead catfish overnight on one of our trotlines used to sample catfish for research. I had one of the flatheads all the way up to the boat before he spit the channel cat out...

That is totally awesome! I have a friend in a state where they have very liberal bait laws who uses 15 inch channel catsnow and then, and he gets more hits than one would expect. Only problem he has is that sometimes he reels them in all the way to the boat without actually hooking them, they're just chewing on the bait. I would think a multiple hook rig would work better for something like that. Or a very fast netman.
