Has anyone ever used the Cabelas Anchor Rope Lock? I would like to be able to raise and lower my anchor without having to move to the front of the boat. Had the crank setup on another boat and wasn't real impressed. Thanks, Jake

Looks neat. I'd maybe buy it if it was not made of plastic. I can't see it working for more than a 10# anchor. Too much leverage on that small rod holder base.

I use a 30# anchor, and that typically requires at leat 50# of force to pull it off the bottom. Depending on your anchor on that 14' boat, it may be an excellant option for you.
