tying hair rigs

Recommended Posts

Thinking of tying up some hair rigs to use with sweet corn. Where do you find the silicon tubing I see the rig uses? Do people use mono or braid (or dental floss as I saw in one post). What do you use for a bait stop to hold the corn on the hair? It looks like a neat thing to try and I would appreciate any advice as to making them. The knotless knot looks odd too--like it would unwind itself.

Braid, you want something that is limp.

I use a small piece of Trout worm for a stopper or the tail of an old fluke.

The hair rig knot works great for tying on the lead hook on a nightcrawler rig for Walleyes.
