Me and the girlfriend are going camping on shell lake on july 4th weekend. Planning on fishing muskies and maybe walleyes. Haven't fishing there since is was little and just wandering how the muskie fishing is. What baits work best and if night time is better?? Any info would be great and thanks!

I was out there yesterday. The water is really clear in the main basin (could see bottom in 14 feet without polarized sunglasses). The weeds for the most part are not up yet. Your best bet might be fishing cribs and rocks during low light hours.

Thanks nick! How can a person find these cribs?

There might be a bait shop that can help you out with exact locations. There are lots of them, so if you move along between 12 and 20 feet you'll eventually pick up a few on your electronics. The one's in shallower you can probably see with a good pair of polarized sunglasses.
