Big Trout Lake Trout.

How is the bite on Big Trout in the summer and winter? Is is rare/uncommon to catch one, or would it be worth fishing for them? Any preferred methods on the lake?

Be prepared to put some time in to a catch a decent one.

I can only get little ones through the ice and my biggest open water has only been 5lbs.

I fish it about 4-5 times a year so I don't have a lot of hours on the lake.

They are in there but I never mark many big fish open water or hard water.
