My buddy caught a 32" length, 8 1/2' girth walleye, what approximately would this weigh?

NICE FISH!! but I think you may have measured the girth wrong. Sounds awfully skinny. Did you measure all the way around the fatest part of the belly? Pulled up a calulator (weight+gith) and they said your buddies fish weighed 5.91 lbs. Now if it had a 18 1/2" inch gerth would weigh 12.87 lbs. which sounds more typical for this time of year. when was this fish caught?/ recently?

if it was caught recently, it may have been all spawned out. i dont think they are too worried about eating when its spawning time..

i got a 29" walleye on Mille Acces last spring that only weighed about 5-6 pounds.. real skinny fish up there..
