Structure on opener

I will be predominantly fishing shallow areas 6-10ft next to some current, fishing with a jig and a minnow. I am looking to try some new areas and am wondering what other types of structure people fish on opener.

You will likely get fish in those areas, but do not be afraid to go shallow. You think that is 10' is shallow? Try 18" - 4', expecially if the water is dark and there is wave, wind, or ripple action. Most rivers are not gin clear. Walleyes are where the food is. You are right on with the jig and minnow combination. Try off weed beds, rocky points, wing dams, current breaks, and channell edges.
