Bow Locator problem/question?

My front locator works great when I am using the trolling motor, however, when I pull the troll and head back to start my motor, it shuts off. My counsel locator remains on and seems to be working great. Does anyone have any advice?

Does it shut off when starting the main motor, or when pulling the TM?

If when starting the big motor, it sounds like you have a battery going bad and getting weak.

If when pulling the TM, I would inspect the transducer wiring. It sounds like it's getting pinched somewhere and shorting out. I had this exact issue after I installed a new TM on my boat. Turned out I zip tied the ducer wiring to a part of the TM mount that sets against another piece when folded up that I never noticed before. Had to cut out that section of wiring and splice everything back together.
