Hi....this is my second year searching for Morels. I've only been out about 4 times total in these two years. I know I need to get more but I'm pretty busy this time of the year.

I'm learning quick - but I still am only finding 3's and 4's. I am searching public land of course and that probably has a lot to do with it.

This is the type of area I'm searching: creek beds with dead trees (elms and others) sandy/dirt.

Are there other areas in the metro that I should be searching? I have found all of them under dead elm trees. But like I said only a few at most.

What type of area do people find like 20-30 at a time? Maybe I'm just finding them after they have been picked?

I walk pretty deep into these parks to try and make sure nobody has been there.

I guess my question is what other type of areas besides these creek areas will hold them?

Thanks -
