PerchJerker
Curious if anyone has a Holland grill, or has used one before, and what you thought of it. We heard about Holland grills through a few friends and are checking them out. The friends really like their Holland grills --- I'd never heard of them before and they're not what I was expecting. I really like the no-flare aspect but other than that I'm not sure what to think of them right now .....Thanks for any feedback!
Skeeter21i
Check out either Traeger or Green Mountain wood pellet grills while you are grill shopping. I went Traeger five years ago and am glad I did.
Bigsmitty
I have had one for 15 years. I'd never go without one. I also have the little companion Holland. Great for camping or on the go.
PerchJerker
Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. Was hoping to hear back from more guys but the Holland Grills don't seem to be too widespread, maybe because of their pricing and their dealers. Am pretty sure we'll end up with a Holland though. Walleyehooker
I have the Companion also and it cooks great but it doesnt want to stay lit even in a light wind wich sucks.
rfish
I've had a holland for several years , not a bad grill but it didn't cook very good when the weather was cold out. I got a phoenix now and cooks in any weather. well worth the money but still like to try a big green egg.
Walleye Guy
Every year we use the Companion at duck camp to cook the bacon wrapped duck breasts chunks. It does a fine job. I have also used a large Holland at least half a dozen other times. They are nice grills. I wouldn't say they are great grills. I don't think they get as hot as other grills can. I don't think buying a Holland is a bad choice by any means. I would just consider some of the other premium brands and models that are out there in addition to the Holland.
