I knew that it was too good to be true. The shop tweaked my carburetor this winter and said that's all that it needed. $80. Pretty cheap for what I was expecting.

Sure enough it ran great for about 3 minutes this weekend. It seemed to have power and the giddyup that's been missing. Then it died, and smoked. Then the dreaded inability to pull the cord / get the cylinders to move. It was like the bishop shooting his best round of golf before getting struck by lightning in Caddyshack. At least this was my small outboard instead of my main motor!
