I have a 15hp Johnson sea horse motor (early 1980's model) that I would like to use on my bigger boat for trolling. It is a tiller motor. My question is... Can this tiller motor be hooked up to the steering wheel and can I get a throttle lever for up at the steering wheel as well to control the speed. The Johnson motor is for my smaller boat that I will use very little but would like to use if needed for smaller lakes that I can't get the bigger boat in. If this is possible I would like to use the smaller motor more for trolling with the bigger boat. I plan on eventually adding a trolling motor on the bow in the future but money is not readily flowing my way so I am trying to figure out what I can do with what little money I do have to spend on this situation.
I guess I would prefer not to sit in the back of the boat when trolling with this motor if possible.
Thank you for any and all advice. It is greatly appreciated.

We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha
motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor, wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will
want for this boat? Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke
Mariner motor) I will appreciate any help with these questions.
I went ahead and watched some of the MLF coverage. Wheeler didn’t make the cut but the bigger story was the Poche/Avera fallout.
Kinda funny listening to both sides of the story and putting together the scenario, reading between the lines.
