Dan L
I had to move my GPS puck to install my new terova. Now I have a 1.5" hole on the bow of my boat. The hole is about 1" thick thru plywood and aluminum. What is the best way to plug this so it is water tight. Do they make something that tightens from underneath like I had on my antenna? Deershooter
You could try a flush mount rod holder base. I don't think they are 100% water tite but it would at least make the hole functional.
basssmasher*
Try some solder mask if you can get some
waterwolff
Is it on the gunnel or right on top the bow. They make plastic snap in cover plates much like you wold see on a unused hole on a desk top or counter or could you incorporate the hole into a recessed cup holder or storage tray. JohnMickish
Here is what I did when I was in the same situation. Go to Home Depot and get a sink hole plug. The kind that has a stud and a nut that screws up from the bottom. They come in a couple of colors so you should find one that works. I think it was under $5 and it looks great.
