I finally did my first closed butt wrap. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Now if I remember how to post a picture.

Looks good. Biggest thing with closed wraps is getting your spacing right. And of course attention to detail. Looks you got both right.

Thanks Asander and upnorth. A few guys told me I was ready for a closed wrap but we were never able to get together for them to show me. I found the rod guild site and there was alot of info on there and I was able to figure it out. Now they tell me its time to make my own handles both wood and cork rings. Kind of glad I enjoy this hobby.

Looks really nice. Never seen this with the green background but it contrasts well.

I've put together a spreadsheet the calculates the layout spacing for closed wraps. I'm working on making it more user friendly. All the user needs to do is enter the wrap butt, wrap center and wrap tip diameters and everything else is automatically calculated.
