Big Jeff
Maiden voyage of the new boat went great yesterday but when loading I noticed a ticking noise coming from the back of the boat. It sounded as if there was a transducer working out of the water only to find it was the gas bulb making the noise. When I would pump the ball it would go away for a bit then come back. It loos original to the boat at 95 sportfish with a 96 mercury 135. Any idea if it is the check valves in the bulb or if it could be further than that may be in the motor? LightningBG
or borrow a hose and 6 gal can and see if it still happens. Then you would know its in the motor, not the line.

Ufatz
I'd dump the bulb at least and, probably I'd replace hose and bulb. But that's just me.....very very funny about messing with boat motors that give me trouble.Put two slugs in one back in the day and cut it loose over the side. Never did like that $*%&^^$(^ motor.
