Season change fishing

First-best of luck to Canvasback.Been there done that and I feel for you.
I will be fishing Crane Lake around the end of the month and long range weather predicts lots of clouds and rain. Anybody have any tips for fishing for Walleye, Pike, Musky and Smallmouth when the seasons start to change? Will be fishing in overcast conditions at the best.

Windy, overcast, cooler temps can be
great pike fishing. My all time favorite
lure for the above conditions is a
gold and flourescent hammered spoon.
Even the cheapo spoons will do. The pike
and muskies really dig this color during
the overcast condition. Red and white
jointed Pikies are also productive.
Folow the weedlines and troll away.
They will find you!! For those extra
windy days (whitecaps), get in nice and close to those shorelines taking a beating
from the surf. You should stay out in
five to seven foot of water.
