Firearms safety class question

Recommended Posts

I have a friend that wants to take the WI firearms safety course. She is 11 years old.

It states that "residents younger than 12 may lose the one free year small game hunting privilege, if they do not turn 12 the year they complete the class.

I do not understand exactly what this means. Can they still hunt small game but they have to pay for a license?

I agree with it being a stupid rule klecker. She is taking it anyway. I figure since we will be mainly deer hunting this year the knowledge she learns will be worth it safety wise.

I hear ya. The rates are reduced for 12-17 year olds anyway so its not really a big issue. If you need some squirrel woods let me know. Big blocks of nice timber, 60+ year old oaks and nobody hunts them. A lot of black rats as well. Polk county area.
