Cabin fever is setting in

I've been bored out of my mind the last few nights with the wind howling at 50mph..in the mean time I've messed with my rods. I think they turned out pretty good.

Here's some photo's.

The second photo is my wifes rod...she's partial to pink. What I did was sand the handles with medium sand paper to make them look like new. Then I cut out and messed with my designs and used vinyl graphic material. Once they were on I gave them a quick blast with the low setting of my heat gun and they stuck on very nice I then applied multiple layers (when I say multiple I mean ALOT) of polycrylic clear gloss finish. I really like the feel. My wifes rod is still in the process of getting cleared. I put a coat on every hour so until it's done.
