Metro sucker rivers?

Does anybody know of any rivers that suckers run during spring near the metro? I have only caught a few suckers and I want to catch a few more :P

Also, in my local park (the centerpeice is a complete cesspool of a lake, filled with carp :D) there is a small dam connecting 2 lakes and every spring there are loads of carp and suckers up near it. I have caught loads of the carp, but the suckers don't seem to bite on anything, even if the bait goes just under it's nose. What are some good baits for them?
