volunteers needed for "Georges tackle shop" at MN Muskie expo

Recommended Posts

The MN muskie expo or 'Georges expo" has more booths then it ever has and a trout pond for kids has been added.

theres always a big turnout by kids and organized kids groups but maybe quite a bit more this year.

Paul Hartman promoter and one of the owners of the show is looking for volunteers for "Georges kids tackle shop" to help show kids how to build their own lures,Bucktails yes even dbl 10's,,,Jigs and other tackle,,there is first class tools and supplies that will be used,,'NO experience needed' if you have never made lures before the vets of this project will show you how to do it. A chance to learn a new skill or just help get kids involved.

If intrested hours and any time your available would fit YOUR sced and of course free entrance to the show

Dave Knutson is heading this up if you have any intrest pleaase give him a call

651-455-9755

thank you

this is fun i have helped out in the past, showgirl/cowgirl knock offs

(mayhem mention) is what the kids desire. any help is welcome. it could be tying flashabou, bending wires, picking blade colours or just keeping

the line of customers straight. all help is welcome.

Would there possibly be potential to do this for 40 hours in the three days?

I'm currently a senior at the University of St.Thomas and in order to graduate the business program you are requierd to fullfill a business course called Business 200. Basically I have to volunteer with a non-profit program of my choice for a total of 40 hours. I'm an avid musky fisherman and would love to helpout! plus I could use a lesson on making and fishing up some of my musky baits! I know the expo isnt exactly a "non-profit" but if i could help out the kids and help out at the show I'm sure I could pass it off to my professor. Anyway I was just curious, and it sounds like a great time!

40 hours huh. Talk to me I can put you to work Muuaaaahhhaaahhaaaaa....

Aaammmm, I mean there are many fulfilling things for muskies you can do. j/k

The total for the expo probably wouldn't be 40 hours, but there's plenty of other things that need to be done where we could get you there.

You can drop me a line at [email protected]
