My grandpa, maybe my little sister and I are planning a fishing/camping trip and we are looking for a good place to go. We would prefer somewhere in Minnesota at a reasonable daily or weekly rate. We have a boat and a camper so all we need is a good camp site and some good sunny, northern, and or crappie fishing. so if you have any good places please post it.

welcome to the greatest fishing site on the internet!

Park Rapids is a great area. it is located about 3 1/2 hours northwest of Minneapolis. on Potato Lake in the Park Rapids area there is a nice campground called Vagabond Village Campground. Potato Lake has a very healty population of fish. Walleye, Pike, LM Bass, SM Bass, Crappie, Sunnies, Perch and Rock Bass. if you decided to go there i would be happy to give you some ideas as to where to fish.

If you are willing to go to a bigger lake, I would highly recommend Mckinley camp ground on Vermilion. The most scenic lake in Minnesota that I've ever been on and they have nice facilities there. Not to mention the great fishery.
