Are lighted Kwikfish or J-plugs legal in Minnesota waters?

I am wondering if Lighted Kwikfish or J-plugs are legal in minnesota. From what I read in the regulations you can have a lighted lure as long as the battery doesn't contain mercury. Luhr-Jensen's HSOforum hasn't been really helpful since their contact us page says that its coming soon. Has anyone else ran into this problem yet?

97C.335 USE OF ARTIFICIAL LIGHTS TO TAKE FISH PROHIBITED.

(a) A person may not use artificial lights to lure or attract fish or to see fish in the water while spearing, except that while angling or spearing, a person may:

(1) affix a lighted artificial bait with hooks attached to the end of a fishing line; or

(2) use a lighted decoy for spearing.

( A battery that is used in lighted fishing lures must not contain mercury.

© The restrictions in paragraph (a) do not apply to bow fishing.

Thanks MinDak thats all i found on the subject. I guess they are legal as long as the batteries don't contain mercury. I might just order one and see if it says anything about the battery on the package.

I just called the Marine General in Duluth and they said they are legal in Minnesota waters.
