I know this isn't totally relevant to this forum but it is exercise related. I'm wondering what size yoga mat to buy for my wife as a nice no reason surprise gift. I found the mat I want to buy, it is a Jade Harmony but should I get her the 68" or the 74" mat? She is 5'9. Any help is very appreciated. smile

I got no experience with yoga but plenty of experience with buying the wrong thing for women. Are you sure you want to do this? Just asking. If you know she wants one, I'd go for the larger one, might make her feel smaller. Of course if she's like some of my exes, she'll take it as you think she's so big she needs the larger mat.

I also don't claim to know what women want but I have taken a yoga class or two with my wife. In my opinion I would go for the larger one. It felt like I had more of my own space when I was out there stretching. Sometimes the floor was cold and it was nice to have more mat to stay on.
