# 2 cylinder missfiring?

Recommended Posts

So this has been going on for quite sometime and i have changed the spark plugs (all of them) and i replaced the coil pack for that spark plug. I have a 2001 dodge dakota with a 4.7 lt and each plug has its own coil pack. I still get the code popping up and then it resets itself after a few days. I have also put in fuel injector cleaner but still dont seem to help. I am at a complete stump of what it is and I dont want to take it in and spend a ton of money for a shop to try and figure it out also.

Thanks for all the help

If the plud and coil look good, the first thing I would do is a compression check. If that was good than I would swap the coil with another cylinder. If the misfire follows the coil than you know the coil is the problem. If the misfire stays you could always swap the injectors and see if the misfire follows.
